In this digital era, social media provides a platform for individuals to communicate, share information and connect with others. One of the groups most active in using social media is teenagers. Adolescents are a psychologically vulnerable age group because they are experiencing significant physical, emotional and social changes. 1. The Effect of Social Interaction on Social Media on Psychological Well-Being Social media allows teenagers to interact with their friends online, send messages, share photos, and participate in various online communities. In some cases, these social interactions can improve psychological well-being by providing emotional support and positive relationships. However, it is also important to consider the negative aspects of social media interactions. Some teens may experience cyberbullying, which can cause serious psychological distress. Additionally, social comparisons with online friends can trigger feelings of inadequacy and jealousy, which can be detrimental to psychological well-being.

Teenagers who spend too much time on social media tend to experience decreased sleep quality, increased anxiety levels, and decreased academic performance. Social media addiction can also disrupt interpersonal relationships and make teenagers feel socially isolated.
